Oosight™
Revealing critical structures in living unstained oocytes
The Oosight™ imaging system utilizes CRi’s own core LC-PolScope™ technology, offering the unique capability of providing high-contrast quantitative images of the spindle apparatus and tri-laminar zona pellucida without the use of exogenous dyes or labels. Oosight systems have applications in both in vitro fertilization (IVF) and general-purpose research laboratories. The Oosight system is an easy add-on to existing microscope workstations, and is compatible with most third-party laser systems. The Oosight system has also been shown to be a critical enabling technology for somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT).
Series of Human oocytes and Embryos: first in series shows a strongly birefringent, normal barrel-shaped spindle. The second image is of a spindle-negative oocyte. The third image is of an immature human oocyte in Meiosis I showing an extruded polar body with a bisecting prominent MI spindle. Next image series displays the Oosight system's ability to find and define spindle and inner zona retardance metrics. Finally, a normal versus abnormal embryo is shown.
