Glass Bottom Dishes
The Oosight and Abrio imaging systems require that the sample be placed on a glass surface due to the birefringence of plastics. Many applications involve the use of micromanipulation, and therefore require a dish or vessel. For this reason, CRi has tested and validated the use of the WPI FluorDish™ (a glass-bottom dish) for use with our systems.
WPI’s FluoroDish tissue culture dishes are available in a large range of sizes, color and coatings. WPI utilizes a specially formulated adhesive that is optically clear, durable and with extremely low toxicity. Tests by an independent laboratory have shown that the 96-hour surviving rate of embryos is 100% when kept in a FluoroDish, substantially better than other brands. The bottom glass has superior IV transmission. Stringent quality control ensures that glass thickness stays within the 0.17±0.01mm range.
