Technical Sales Representative

The complexity of disease is captured at multiple levels, from cellular to whole organism, to speed and enhance disease research and drug development and to help realize the potential for personalized medicine.

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative with broad experience in sales, microscopy, and life sciences. The successful individual will be a member of a cross-disciplinary team within the Sales & Marketing team whose primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise to potential CRi customers for our Multispectral Imaging Systems. The candidate will be required to interact effectively with potential customers and collaborators as well as other functional groups within CRi. This position requires superior communication skills (phone, email and Webex) as well as the ability to make technical presentations, perform product demonstrations; and field, analyze, and summarize results in both written reports and oral presentations. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Technical sales experience (2-5 years)
  • Experience with customers (inside & outside) sales, support, or related experience
  • Experience with fluorescence and brightfield microscopy applications
  • Familiar with clinical and pre-clinical research practices
  • Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Effective planning, organizational, technical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High energy level, resourceful and capable of working independently

Education:

MS or PhD, biomedical engineering, biology or related scientific discipline

Experience:

At least two years of technical sales experience in life science field with a strong understanding of medical imaging, microscopy, fluorescence imaging and biology is required. This position is reports to the Manager of Technical Services and Customer Support.
